Inside The Cart | When You’re Building Something That Doesn’t Exist Yet

You are not alone if you are trying to build something you can't quite explain yet...this post is for you.

Some days, I stare at the screen and think, "How do you explain something that hasn’t fully landed in the world yet?"

Inside The Cart was never meant to be a business in the traditional sense. It’s a soul-led mission that unfolded in pieces: through motherhood, burnout, and helping others build their dreams, while mine quietly waited.

I used to think I was behind. Now I realize I was just ahead of the map.

Building something that doesn’t exist yet…

…it is sacred work. But it can feel isolating. Not because no one cares, but because you can’t always explain what you’re carrying. It doesn’t fit into a traditional business category. It can’t be summed up in a polished elevator pitch.

And sometimes, when you try to put it into words, it comes out messy or incomplete — too tender to be understood by someone who hasn’t felt it for themselves.

So you tuck it back in. You keep building quietly, hoping that someday, someone will recognize what it is when it finally begins to take shape.

But here’s what I’ve come to trust:

I believe in what I’m building.

Even when I don’t fully understand how it will all come together, I still choose to believe in it. Even when I wake up in the middle of the night with thoughts spinning, wondering if this vision is too much, too unconventional, or simply too big, something deeper inside me says, “Keep going.”

I believe in the people this work is meant to serve. I believe in the ones who feel overwhelmed by the online world, but still long to show up with honesty and heart.

I believe in the entrepreneurs who may not have big teams or massive budgets, but who carry something real — something worth sharing.

I believe in small beginnings and quiet courage. In businesses that are built slowly, with intention. In brave restarts after long pauses. And in sacred second chances that arrive when we least expect them, but always when we need them most.

Most of all, I believe that strategy and soul are not opposites. They belong together. They are meant to sit at the same table, because when they do, everything starts to work better.

Inside The Cart was never created to push shiny marketing promises. It was created to support real humans who are trying to move their gifts into the world without losing themselves along the way.

It’s a space where clarity is more important than performance. Where truth is more valuable than trends. And where growth begins from the inside out.

If you’re reading this, maybe you’re building something that doesn’t exist yet, too.

Maybe you’re doing it in the quiet hours, between work shifts, during nap time, or late at night after everyone else has gone to bed.

Maybe you haven’t told anyone yet, but the vision keeps whispering to you. Maybe the business plan still feels fuzzy, but the feeling won’t go away.

That’s how you know, and that’s how it begins. You are not lost. You are not failing. You are simply walking a path that hasn’t been mapped yet.

And I’m walking with you.
